Harvested in May June July 2018

Pollen is the male seed of flowers and is required for the fertilization of the plant. Every species of flower in the world puts forth a dusting of pollen. It is collected by bees who then pack it into granules and use it to feed their young.

Bee pollen contains amino acids, trace elements, enzymes or co-enzymes, minerals, fatty acids, carbohydrates, vitamins about 25 % protein. It is also extremely rich in carotenes (metabolic precursors of vitamin A), B complex and vitamins C, D, E and Lecithin. Bee pollen has very low fat content and it contains over 50 % more protein than beef.

It also serves as an excellent vegetarian source of protein as it has proportionally more of the essential amino acids, than animal proteins like meat, eggs, and dairy products.
